A short test of concept for a feature-length documentary about the American Elm, with the Washington Elm as the starting point. In the final version, there will be interviews with historians, arborists, tribal members, local residents, and tree lovers. I will be traveling to Washington Elm scions around the country, documenting their story along with artifacts and mementos made from the original Washington Elm, and finally, there will be the public and privately owned American Elms documented in their environments.
